Leisure Staff Save Man’s Life with an AED Plus

It was a good thing that the Waves Leisure Complex had an AED Plus^® to hand when a man collapsed in their health suite recently. Staff called upon their first aid training and set to work to resuscitate the gentleman using the AED.

When the ambulance arrived he was taken to Craigavon Area Hospital where he underwent surgery but is now back home recovering. The Chief Executive of Craigavon Borough Council comments, “Thankfully this story has a happy ending but it could have been so different if it were not for the quick action and thinking of all our staff”.
